Casey Wasserman and the Wasserman Foundation hosted the 10th Annual Wasserman Serve Day on October 1, 2020. Over 550 Wasserman employees volunteered in service projects in 13 cities across 6 countries. Wasserman volunteers have completed 64 projects over the last 10 years for Wasserman Serve Day. Los Angeles

Decorated learning games that will be included in back-to-school supply bags for all 478 students at Florence Griffith Joyner Elementary in Watts

Carlsbad

Created handmade cards with encouraging messages for seniors isolated at St Paul’s Senior Center, which was delivered with a donation of hygiene and cleaning products

New York

Made cards for isolated seniors served by the non-profit Heights and Hills, recorded children’s stories to promote literacy and limit learning loss, led a fitness class for the Achilles Kids Project, and participated in friendly conversations with isolated seniors

Portland

Assembled art kits for homeless youth in East Portland with the organization p:ear

Raleigh

Hosted interactive review games with students that attend the Brentwood and Raleigh Boys and Girls Clubs

San Antonio

 

Assembled shoe boxes filled with basic need hygiene items for homeless families

Dallas

Assembled hygiene kits for homeless babies & mothers with Hope Supply Co.

London & Dubai

Created educational booklets for young children, created activity booklets for seniors, and participated in dial-in virtual sessions with seniors

Toronto

Hosted mock interviews for youth entering the workforce with Job Start and wrote letters to vulnerable seniors that were delivered with a meal with The Neighborhood Group

Belgium

Ran and cycled to raise money for Live2020, a non-profit providing aid to live events organizations that are struggling during the pandemic

The Netherlands

Created a newspaper with encouraging messages, articles, and activities that was printed and delivered to over 4,000 seniors isolated around The Hague

Mexico City

Hosted mock interviews and resume workshops for youth ages 17 – 22 that are looking for a job

Mayakoba

Recorded a children’s story that will be shared with non-profits to facilitate access to culture and education for children
