Wasserman Serve Day 2018

Casey Wasserman and the Wasserman Foundation hosted the 8th Annual Wasserman Serve Day on September 27, 2018. Over 400 Wasserman employees volunteered in service projects in 13 cities across 6 countries. Wasserman volunteers have completed 40 projects over the last 8 years for Wasserman Serve Day. WASSERMAN SERVE DAY 2018

LOS ANGELES

Volunteers in Los Angeles painted arts, STEM, and nature themed murals around the campus at Grape Street Elementary School in Watts.

CARLSBAD

Volunteers in Carlsbad maintained the nature trail at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center and created recycled notebooks for visiting schoolchildren.

MIAMI

Volunteers in Miami painted a mural at Sweetwater Elementary School to brighten up their computer lab.

NEW YORK

Volunteers in New York painted a colorful mural on the outside walls of PS 243 in Brooklyn to bring some color to the campus and the surrounding community.

PORTLAND

Volunteers in Portland restored the community garden at the Gilbert Park SUN Community School.

SEATTLE

For their first year participating in Serve Day, volunteers in Seattle created holiday craft kits and tutoring kits for families living in Compass Housing transitional homes.

RALEIGH

Volunteers in Raleigh renovated Bethesda Elementary School, including building and painting picnic tables, landscaping, painting, and beautifying the entire campus.

SAN ANTONIO

Volunteers in San Antonio built a covered deck outside of the dining hall at CAMP, which provides recreational programming for children and adults with mental and/or physical disabilities.

DUBAI

Volunteers in Dubai partnered with Emirates NBD to build and decorate toys for refugee children.

LONDON

Volunteers in London built a nature trail, planted habitats, and landscaped at Holland Park to benefit the Forest School Ecology Center.

TORONTO

Volunteers in Toronto renovated and beautified the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club TP Loblaw location.

BELGIUM

For their first year participating in Serve Day, volunteers in Belgium built a new chicken coop and adapted the goat park at a rehabilitative Care Farm for people with mental and/or physical disabilities.

THE NETHERLANDS

Volunteers in the Netherlands completed crafts and creative activities with children at Basisschool De Springbok to stimulate their creative potential.
