Thanks to the support of Nigel Lythgoe, Executive Producer of American Idol and LA's BEST Governing Board member, 10 LA's BEST - BEST Friends and volunteers were asked to join California First Lady Maria Shriver on stage for the taping of American Idol Gives Back! The First Lady discussed the value of volunteerism and giving back and sent a message to encourage others to follow the great example of the volunteers on stage behind her. LA's BEST Friends and volunteers were acknowledged by the First Lady along with 90 volunteers from several national non-profit organizations. The segment is scheduled to air on Wednesday's episode of American Idol Gives Back. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity and wanted to share the exciting news! Thank you Nigel!
